Le Berne Vino Nobile di Montelpuciano D.O.C.G.

The grapes, about 90% of which are Sangiovese (known as Prugnolo gentile in Montepulciano) and small quantities of Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo, are gathered after an accurate selection at the precise moment of ripening. The wines, obtained after an accurate vinification, are aged for at least two years in oak barrels and six months in bottles. The result is a ruby red wine tending to garnet red, which has a delicate fragrance and violet aroma, with a dry and slightly tannic flavour. Alcoholic strength is about 13,5°. The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano by Podere Le Bèrne is therefore excellent with foods such as roasted meat, game and traditional Tuscan dishes.

Guado al Melo Rute Bolgheri D.O.C.

Rute comes from the word "red" in Etruscan, the root of which is common in several Euro-pean languages. Red is the color (of wine) that best identifies our extraordinary territory. The Bolgheri wine history is very old but it's the second half of the twentieth century that this great vocation was recognized throughout the world, thanks to the general improve-ment of production and selection of varieties best suited to the territory. With Rute, thanks to our careful work of vineyardist, we express the most territorial soul of Bolgheri, made of elegance and complexity.
The label, such as name, is deliberately essential with a drawing of a bunch of grapes, a de-tail of the grapevine that is our logo and is one of the oldest representations of this subject found in Italy (X c. BC).

Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Le Vaglie D.O.C .

This wine was created in 1992 with the intention of breaking away from the framework of a traditional wine. At the same time, by experimenting and taking a risk, this wine is able to give merit to the great history of winemaking in the Marches region. To celebrate 20 years of production, in 2012 the winery launched five colourful wine labels alongside the traditional white label. This was a stylistic choice that we still continue today distinguishing the wine and satisfying the ever-increasing enthusiasm we find in the fans of Le Vaglie.

Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Stefano Antonucci D.O.C.

Each wine that comes out of traditional patterns starts from an idea born a little by chance and a little by wager. We’ve always had the conviction that Verdicchio is one of the few white wines which can be exalted either the fermentation or in wood refining. From the use of woods different for typology and size, was born the Stefano Antonucci White, a wine which exalts the features of our wonderful region, Le Marche.

Teanum Alta Falanghina I.G.P.

Falanghina: This ancient vine formed perhaps the basis of the Falerno wine, cultivated aroundNaples for a long time; its presence is mentioned in 1825 among the most popular vines of the Area.
Apparently, the name of this variety is derived from its requirement, since it has a strong growth, to rest on supporting posts, called falanga, therefore falanghina means “vine supported by posts”.

Teanum Alta Merlot-Cabernet I.G.P.

Cabernet Sauvignon: It is native of the Bourdeaux district, a region in the southwest ofFrance. It was described in detail in 1875 by Secondat, son of Montesquieu, who defines it a “perfect vine”
It was first introduced intoItalyinPiedmont, in the early 19th century.
Recent researches carried out to study its DNA employing 30 microsatellite loci have proved the direct relationship between Cabernet franc and Cabernet sauvignon, the latter being the result of the hybridization between Cabernet franc and Sauvignon blanc.
Merlot: Like several other vines (Cabernet), this one, too, is native to the vine-growing region of the southwest of France (Bourdeaux). FromFrance, it spread throughout the world. It was introduced intoItaly in 1880 starting from Friuli andVeneto, where it found the proper environmental conditions. It is currently found throughoutItaly, above all in the centre and south. Apparently, its name is derived from the French term for blackbird “merle”.

Teanum Alta Syrah I.G.P.

Syrah: This vine is mostly widespread inFrance, more precisely in theRhone region and neighboring areas.
According to the two widely shared hypotheses, this vine probably originated either in the Middle East, in the town ofShiraz(Persia), or in the area of Syracuse.
The first molecular analyses showed its resemblance to several other vines: the Albanian Sbesb, the Siriaca of Campania, and other vines present inItaly. Further researches on its DNA proved that the vine is derived from the hybridization between two French varieties, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche. The vine was imported toItalyaround the middle of the 19th century.

Teanum Favugne Rosato D.O.P.

Montepulciano: Of unknown origin, this vine is typical of Abruzzo and other region in central and southern Italy. According to its name, its origin might perhaps be traced back to the area of Montepulciano in the province of Siena. It was supposedly introduced in Abruzzo in the early 19th century, from where it spread to the neighboring regions. The vine got to Apulia at the beginning of the 1900´s.

Teanum Gran Tiati I.G.P.

Aglianico: Already grown in remote times in southern Italy, particularly in Campania, Basilicata and Apulia, this vine was apparently introduced by the Greeks at the time of the foundation of their colonies along the Tyrrhenian coast. There are several interpretations regarding its name. At first derived from the Greek Ellenico or Ellanico; another origin of the name could be that of Gaurano-Gauranico, which defined one of the Falerno varieties. Its spreading was a consequence of its renown, so that it finally became the most widespread vine in southern Italy.

Teanum Otre Negroamaro Fish

Negroamaro: Of unknown origin, this vine has been widespread in the Ionian area for many years. According to this, the name is derived from the dialect term Niuru amaru that defines the bitter taste of the wine. However, the name seems more likely to derive from two words indicating the color black, the Latin word “nigra” and the Greek “mavro”, used in a combination to underline both the dark black color of the grape skin and of the wine obtained. The synonym Nigramaro supports this hypothesis. In this case, we might state with sufficient certainty that its cultivation can go back to the time of the Greek colonization, in the 8th and 7th centuries BC.

Teanum Otre Primitivo I.G.P.

Primitivo: Of uncertain origin, its introduction into Apulia may perhaps be traced back to the Phoenician and Greek colonization.
However, it should be pointed out that this selection was carried out within the “old local vineyards”; therefore, the vine was already known in the area during that time, since it could be found in old vineyards of the late 18th century. Primitivo is identical to Zinfandel.
